Fun update. They sent the bag to Nicaragua! Even though the report clearly says to send it to her hotel in Amsterdam. Supposedly it will be sent back to Europe and arrive at the hotel tomorrow morning, just in time for the wedding. We'll see.

Had a bug earlier this month where review requests were not being sent out to customers after their appointment. Disabled the cronjob, debugged, fixed and deployed to prod.

Yesterday my manager tells me we haven't any new reviews in weeks. Guess who forgot to re-enable the cronjob?

I'm a genius. I've had issues following random accounts for years on my honk. I finally figured out the issue. I had fk'n dev mode enabled in production and that breaks some signing callback (by design). Disabled dev mode and now it's working as expected.

To those sites who send you an auth link or validation code to your email to login to accounts and also have a short timeout window (5-15 minutes) - I hate you. Some of us use greylisting to help fight spam (works great!) so far too often I am altering the whitelists on our greylisting daemon to let a short timeout email in quickly. Grrrrr!!!

i know of previous large scale distributed computing projects from years and years ago. e.g. see:

is there existing research for something like this but with LLM tech? not just using pre-trained models, but actual training. actually crawling the internet. participants can volunteer some of their computing capacity to run the network.

that's how i think LLM-based tech should be implemented. don't have llots of big datacentres. do it open source, and run everything p2p.
